I am listening to all of the records I have, starting with ones from high school and collage, then on to the ones I bought more recently, and eventually I’ll get to 45’s. After that I’ll move on to CD’s, but by that time CD’s will most likely be a format of the not-so-nostalgic past.

Hey DJ Farraginous,
Enjoyed your review of Ja Bluezy at the Delta Lady featuring Paul Bouillet.
I just heard tonight of his passing. Paul was a dear friend of mine that I
haven’t seen for some time. I met Paul in the mid 80s when I first started writing
songs. He kind of took me under his wing and showed me some stuff on the guitar.
It didn’t end well for Paul. He was on a locked ward of a retirement home in Detroit
when he died. He had signed over his belongings to some attorney, so he left nothing behind.
His cousin Arty, I hear, had him cremated and scattered his ashes in the potters field with out
as much as a memorial service. Paul deserved a lot better than that.
I think I may have to dig up my unreleased recordings that I made with Paul back in the day and
post them as a tribute to a truly great player and a one of a kind human being. He played with such great sensitivity and feeling. His Gypsy grandma told him he had the curse, but I know it
was a true gift from above. And I’m sure they’re enjoying his playing in the spirit world.
God bless you brother and rest in peace.
Della Joy lives with us now .I saw a review you did of her “crying time “album.,in 2015 .she never recieved any royalties
She still has the 16 track reel to reel.buts it difficult to get anyone that has equipment.to re record it .do you still have that album? Can we get a tape or album from you.
Ken, I’m sorry to say I no longer have a copy of that record. I seem to lose most of my records every time I move! I know that it’s not an easy one to find. You can try registering with the Discogs website and putting in a request for it, and anyone on there with a copy to sell will see your request – it works quite well. If I come across a copy again, I’ll get back to you. Love to Della Joy.
